Salary and Posting Value

Indian Navy states a customised monthly package of ₹30,000 in the first year, ₹33,000 in the second year, ₹36,500 in the third year and ₹40,000 in the fourth year. The official in-hand component is 70% of the package, with 30% contributed to the Agniveer Corpus Fund and a matching Government contribution.

On completion of four years, the Seva Nidhi package is ₹10.04 lakh. Candidates should also note that Agniveers are not entitled to gratuity or pension for the engagement period.

Selection Process

The selection starts with Stage I INET 2/2026, a computer-based test with separate exams for Engineering and Electrical entries. Shortlisted candidates move to Stage II, which includes Physical Fitness Test, written examination and recruitment medical examination.

Final induction is subject to pre-enrolment medical formalities at INS Chilka. Sponsor candidates and verified NCC C certificate holders are exempted from Stage I INET and may be directly issued call-up for Stage II based on eligibility.
