Salary Structure and Allowances

The selected teaching faculty and academic staff are eligible for pay scales as per the 7th CPC matrix:

  • Associate Professor (Level 13A): ₹1,31,400 to ₹2,17,100 per month (basic pay range)
  • Assistant Professor / Assistant Librarian / Assistant Director (Level 10): ₹57,700 to ₹1,82,400 per month (basic pay range)

In addition to basic pay, standard Central Government allowances including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per classification of cities, and Transport Allowance (TA) will be admissible.

Selection Criteria

The recruitment selection process involves the following stages:

  1. Screening & Shortlisting: Review of UGC API scores, academic credentials, teaching experience, and publication records. Shortlisted candidates are selected based on the criteria specified in the CSU Statutes.
  2. Written Assessment / Seminar Presentation: Shortlisted candidates may be evaluated through a subject-specific written test, teaching skill demonstration, or seminar presentation (mainly for Assistant Professor level).
  3. Personal Interview: Interview before a Selection Committee constituted as per UGC and CSU guidelines. The final merit list is based on interview performance.
