Age limits range from 18–27 years for JSAs, under 30 years for teaching roles, and up to 32–37 years for specific technical posts. Age relaxations apply as per government rules (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC-Delhi: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years).

Salary Structure and Allowances

Selected candidates will receive salaries in accordance with the 7th CPC pay scales. The pay levels for the major posts are as follows:

  • TGT (Computer Science / Special Education): Pay Level-7 (₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400)
  • Domestic Science Teacher: Pay Level-7 (₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400)
  • Special Educator (Primary) & JSA posts: Pay Level-6/5 (₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 / ₹29,200 to ₹92,300)
  • I.T. Assistant Grade-A: Pay Level-4 (₹25,500 to ₹81,100)
  • NDMC Lift Operator / Fitter Grade-II: Pay Level-2 / Pre-revised scales (₹19,900 to ₹63,200)

All posts in GNCTD are eligible for House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), Dearness Allowance (DA), and medical benefits as per rules.

Selection Criteria

DSSSB will conduct a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions with a total duration of 2 hours. Negative marking of 0.25 will apply for each wrong answer. The exam types are:

  1. One Tier General: Consists of General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Hindi, and English (40 marks each). Merit is based on the total 200 marks.
  2. One Tier Technical / Teaching: Consists of Section A (General section – 100 marks) and Section B (Subject-specific domain – 100 marks). Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks in Section B to be considered.

Minimum qualifying marks: General/EWS – 40%, OBC (Delhi) – 35%, SC/ST/PwBD – 30%.

1. Can candidates from states other than Delhi apply under the OBC category?

No. Only candidates possessing an OBC certificate issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi are eligible for reservations. OBC candidates from other states must apply under the General (UR) category.

Yes, DSSSB deducts 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the written OMR/CBT exam.
