The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released the Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5) notification for 1,484 Group B and Group C Non-Faculty vacancies. Candidates can apply online for these roles across 28 participating AIIMS and central institutes from 11 June to 30 June 2026. Salaries for selected candidates are determined by the post’s Pay Level under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). Pay levels range from Level 1 (Basic Pay ₹18,000–₹56,900) for posts like Hospital Attendant, to Level 7 (Basic Pay ₹44,900–₹1,42,400) for supervisory and administrative posts like Dietician or Assistant Engineer. Standard allowances, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance, are provided per Central Government rules.
The selection process comprises a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (400 marks). The exam is split into a General section (20 questions testing Aptitude, GK, and computers) and a Domain-Specific section (80 questions testing post-specific knowledge). The CBT duration is 90 minutes, with sequential, time-locked sections of 18 minutes each. Negative marking of 1 mark applies for each incorrect answer. Skill tests, physical endurance tests (PET), or physical standards tests (PST) will be conducted where applicable, followed by Document Verification (DV).

No, the fee is non-refundable. However, for SC and ST candidates who actually appear for the Computer Based Test (CBT), the application fee will be refunded to their source account after the declaration of results.
There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. Since each question carries 4 marks, the penalty is equivalent to one-fourth (1/4th) of the question’s marks.
The exam is an online Computer Based Test (CBT) of 90 minutes containing 100 questions. It is divided into 5 sequential sections of 20 questions each, with a lock-in time of 18 minutes per section. Once a section closes, you cannot go back to it.
The minimum qualifying percentage is 40% for UR/EWS categories, 35% for OBC, and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD categories.
Government or PSU employees must submit/upload their self-attested No Objection Certificate (NOC) on the portal on or before 6 July 2026.
